Stockholm Programme and the reality at European borders - Towards another 5 years of death, push backs and detention?

In the run-up to the Justice and Home Affairs Council, European Human Rights Organisations will present their findings concerning the protection of human rights at the European borders. While the Ministers of Interior convene about the so called Stockholm Programme, which will dictate the political agenda on refugee and human rights protection, the organisations would want to confront the European Union with the sad realities of refugees at the external borders, such as unlawful push backs, arbitrary detention, refused access to protection and death at sea. The Foundation PRO ASYL would like to [*] invite you to the press conference on Monday, 30th of November at 11 o'clock.

Speakers:
Marianna Tzeferakou, Lawyer, Athens/Greece
Franck Düvell, Oxford/United Kingdom, Border Monitoring Project Ukraine
Oktay Durukan, Helsinki Citizen Assembly, Istanbul/Turkey
Karl Kopp, Pro Asyl, Germany/Frankfurt
Kris Pollet, European Council on Refugees and Exiles, Belgium/Brussels
