Unterstüzungsaufruf zur Demonstration gegen das European Economic
Summit des WEF und blau-schwarze Regierungsmachenschaften am 1.7. in Salzburg
In einer
Serie von Protesten, wird der Globalisierungswahn von Organisationen wie
dem World Economic Forum, dem Internationalen Währungsfond und der
Weltbank seit 3-4 Jahren erschüttert.
Vor allem die Tagungen des World Economic Forums sind durch einen familiären
Charakter gekenntzeichnet, der im Gegensatz zu der Tragweitee Ihrer Entscheidungen
steht. Verglichen mit dem World Economic Forum aber sind die Tagungen
der Weltbank fast schon soziale Meetings, da (wenn auch mit Alibi-Charakter)
NGOs und 3.-Welt-Länder an den Treffen teilnehmen.
Beim WEF allerdings ist der Prozentsatz von Vertretern, die für rein
wirtschaftliche und industrielle Ziele einstehen, bei mehr als 99.5%!
Eine Globalisierung
auf Kosten der Schwachen kann aber nicht zum Wohle Aller gereichen, und
deshalb ist es an uns die Mißstände aufzuzeigen, und das Treffen
zu verhindern.
Die Reichen werden die Zukunft nicht finanzieren - Sie werden nur die
Früchte ernten.
Wir rufen zu einer Demonstration am 1.7. 2001 und zu Aktionstagen und
Tagen des zivilen Ungehorsams vom 30.6. bis 3.7. in Salzburg auf.
Hierzu eruchen wir um eine Unterstüzung des Demonstrationsgesuches
- sowohl gegen die Machenschaften des WEF als auch gegen den unhaltbaren
Zustand einer Blau-Schwarzen Regierung in Österreich.
Der Entwurf und Termine für Koordinationstreffen (für diejenigen die Interesse und Zeit haben) geht den unterstützenden Gruppen in den nächsten Wochen zu.

Call for Support and Solidary for the Protests against the WEF and the
Right-Wing-Populisitc Austrian Government on 1.7.2001 in Salzburg/Austria.
In a Series of Protests, Meetings of the World Economic Forum, the International
Monetary Fond and the World Bank got shaken since the last 4 Years.
Especially the Summits of the World Economic Forum have a very familiar
Character, which differs from the Importance of their Decisions. Compared
with the WEF the meetings of the World Bank are still almost a social
event, because (for alibi reasons) NGOs and 3rd World Country Officials
are invited.
But at the WEF, there are less than 0.5% of the Summit Guests, which are
no industrial leaders or global players.
Globalization debited to the Poor - The Rich won't finance the future
- They just harvest the Fruits.
So it's on us, to blockade the event, and show the bad states of their
global future.
We call to protest on Sunday the 1st of July, and Civil Disobedience during
the Days of the Summit - from 30.06./01.07. 2001 till 03.07.2001 in Salzburg
We are currently looking for support and solidarity for the Demonstration
Request- against the WEF, and the right-wing-populistic Austrian Government
A Suggestion for the Demonstration Request and Dates for coordinational
Meetings (for those who are interested and have time) will be sent to
supportive Groups within the next weeks.
