CALLOUT TO UNITE AGAINST REPRESSION AND THE POLICE STATE. TOGETHER WE ARE POWERFUL!

You are all invited to the first meeting to organise a mass mobilisation in Paris. This would be the first large-scale action against the systematic attacks against migrants since the destruction of the 'Jungles' in Calais.

Following the destruction of the squats and Jungles in Calais in a great PR stunt, Besson publicly committed to making Calais a migrant-free zone.

Since then, the several hundred migrants who returned to Calais have been systematically flushed out anywhere they seek to shelter, day and night.

Activists from the No Borders network have maintained a presence in Calais since June 2009. They bear witness to continual the police repression; beatings, gassings, and night-time chases.

The activists and other witnesses despair in the face of this situation where fellow humans are treated like things to chase, oppress, and expel.

The situation isn't unique. All along the Northern coast of Pas-de-Calais, in Paris, in Greece, in Italy, and across the whole of Europe, migrants are seen as intruders and are oppressed.

In the face of these extreme circumstances, No Borders activists want to alert Europe, and in particular, France, about these fascist policies.

A migrant-free Calais, a migrant-free Paris, a migrant-free France, a migrant-free Europe? Where is it going to stop?

They will be calling a transnational demonstration in Paris next spring to demand that France and the rest of Europe end the hunting of migrants and the systematic repression under the false pretext of preserving order and our economy.

They demand freedom of movement for all, for each of us to settle wherever we wish.

We call on all associations, everyone with or without papers, to the first meeting to organise this next large demonstration in Paris.
