European Action Day on the 31st of January 2004 for the regularization (of sans papiers) and for the closure of all detention centers for foreigners.
People without papers (Sans Papiers), Migrant-organisations and a lot of supportgroups have united on the ESF (Europaen Social Forum, November, Paris 2003) in calling for a " European day of struggles for the regularization (of sans papiers) and for the closure of all detention centers for foreigners".
Today we are facing the construction of deportationcentre "Fortress Europe", where basic fundamental rights are refused to migrants, where they get systematically reduced to objects without rights, best kept in detention, then deported. On this reason it is important to coordinate international, noborder-networking resistance against it.
On the European Action Day on the 31st of January 2004 there will be connected actions in Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Austria.
In Vienna a symbolical DeportationClass will be formed at the meetingpoint on 1 pm in front of the Omofuma-Memorial. Then the "prisonerscaravan" will pass by deportation-class of West-trainstation to aim finally the detention centre on the Hernalser GÃÂ

Åžrtel. The Sans Papiers and a lot of anti-racist groups are calling for support: Come as a Prisoner or in Uniform!
The main demands:
- the unconditional regularization of all sans papiers in all European countries.
- the immediate closure of all detention centers for foreigners in all European countries
- the abolition of the racist Schengen treaty
- freedom of movement and installation for all
- the recognition of a citizenship of residence for all.
- respect for a real right of asylum in all European countries
