Beginning with June 8, police and coastguards of the coastal area of Didim, Turkey, arrested within 10 days a total of 250 people without documents coming from Palestine, Iraq, Mauritania and Somalia. On the grounds that it is too hot and that the streets are blocked, these people, including 4 women and two children, were retained in the stadium of Didim. On June 14 an escape attempt was averted.

Anfang Juni 08 nahmen Polizei, Gendarmerie und Küstenwache des Küstenortes Didim, Türkei innerhalb von 10 Tagen insgesamt 250 illegale Personen aus Palästina, dem Irak, Mauretanien und Somalia fest. Mit der Begründung, es sei zu heiß und die Straßen verstopft, wurden sie, darunter 4 Frauen und 2 Kinder, im Stadion von Didim festgehalten. Ein Ausbruchversuch am 14.6.08 wurde verunmöglicht.

Im "Gästehaus" von Gaziosmanpasa bei Kırklareli leistete eine Gruppe gegen die drohende Abschiebung Widerstand. Sicherheitskräfte griffen ein.
